Identify the stored set

Use the set identifier from the intake record and keep the associated vehicle or customer reference. Do not merge sets simply because an address or surname matches. Where a label and register disagree, make that discrepancy explicit for a physical check.

Prepare the collection list

Connect each confirmed booking to the set ID and recorded location. Keep a proposed appointment distinct from a confirmed one. If the location is missing, assign a stock check rather than assuming the set remains in its previous bay.

Record the actual handover

Retain the collection or installation record against the same set identifier. A moved set is not necessarily handed to the customer. Record the actual outcome and any remaining stored items so the register can be reconciled at the end of the shift.
