# A workspace for the details around your work

A job does not live in a single message. There may be a customer record, a file, a date to remember, and a decision waiting for you. Areinum brings a conversation and work areas into one workspace so you can approach those pieces from the place that suits the task.
The pre-production demo is for an owner and includes areas such as files, tasks, calendar, approvals, and CRM. Each area has a role in the work; do not assume every item is automatically linked or synchronized.

## Use the conversation and the work areas

Ask a question in the chat when you need help finding information or preparing a result. Use the relevant work area when you need to inspect a file, a task, a calendar entry, or a customer record.

To continue a job, move from your question to the relevant file, task, or customer record. Check the current record before relying on a chat response.

## An example: preparing for a site visit

Imagine a contractor preparing for a site visit. The customer record identifies the contact, a task records the measurements needed, and the calendar shows the proposed visit. The owner also has a file containing the original scope.

The owner can use those details to make a visit checklist: the contact, the measurements needed, and the original scope. The fictional example shows how to organize the work before leaving for the site.

## Give each item a job

A task should describe the next piece of work, not repeat the entire history. A calendar entry should say when something is expected to happen. A file should have enough context to distinguish it from a previous version.

When a customer decision changes the plan, update the authoritative record used for that decision. A summary is helpful, but people still need to know where the agreed date, price, or scope is recorded.

1. Identify the customer or job.
2. Find the current source for the detail you need.
3. Write the next action and who is responsible.
4. Check the proposed change before updating or sharing it.

## What the demo covers

The demo includes a Home view, chat, files, tasks, calendar, CRM, and approvals. You can use these work areas to explore how the pieces fit around a job.

Ask which additional workflows, staff permissions, and team chat options are available for your business.

## Questions you may have

### Do I have to manage everything through chat?

No. The demo also has work areas for items such as files, tasks, calendar, and customer records. Chat is one way to ask about or prepare work, alongside the relevant views.

### Will a change in chat automatically update every related record?

Do not assume that. Check the proposed action and the current record in the area concerned; a chat response does not necessarily update every related item.

### Can my team use separate permissions in the demo?

Ask which team permissions and group chat options are currently available for the work you want to try.

### Can I keep using other business tools?

Areinum is intended to work alongside existing tools as well as its own work areas. Confirm the availability and scope of each connection for your business.
