# How to start using AI in your business

The best first AI task is a piece of work you can explain and check. Choose something that produces a useful draft, comparison, or list from information you already understand. A small, observable result teaches you more than an open-ended instruction to improve the business.
Decide what a good result looks like before you start. Then give the tool the relevant material, ask it to flag what is missing, and compare its answer with the source.

## Pick work with a clear finish

Look for a recurring task with a defined input and output: organizing questions before a meeting, comparing two versions of a scope, or drafting a response from approved facts. Avoid starting with a task whose success nobody can assess.

Choose material that you are allowed to use with the tool and remove information the task does not need. Decide who will review the result and what that person must verify before it is used.

1. Choose one real task and define the result.
2. Gather only the information needed for that task.
3. Give the tool context, a clear request, and the desired format.
4. Check the output against the sources and revise the instruction if needed.

## An example: prepare for a supplier call

A fictional cafe owner has notes from the last delivery and a current list of questions. The owner asks for a short call agenda grouped into missing items, price questions, and the next delivery date.

The useful result is an agenda the owner can check against the notes before the call. If the notes do not contain a price, the agenda should include a question about it.

## Check whether the output helps

Look for omitted details, invented facts, and statements that present a proposal as an agreement. Ask whether the format makes the next action easier: can you take the agenda into the call, or identify the decision in the comparison?

If the result is wrong, correct the input or request and run the check again. Keep the responsibility for a customer commitment, payment, legal decision, or other consequential action with the appropriate person.

## Where Areinum fits

Areinum is intended as a workspace where an owner can ask about company information and prepare work with an assistant. The pre-production demo uses a fictional company, so you can explore that interaction with sample data.

Start with a specific question, inspect the sources or result available in the demo, and ask what access or setup would be needed for your real task.

## Questions you may have

### Do I need to understand how AI models work?

You need to understand the job, the information you are supplying, and how you will check the result. You do not need to start by choosing a model or learning every technical term.

### What makes a good first task?

It has a clear input, a useful output, and a person who can check the answer. A task that requires an unverified external action is harder to evaluate as a first exercise.

### What if the answer sounds right but I cannot check it?

Find the source or ask for the missing evidence before relying on it. A fluent answer is not a substitute for an actual record or confirmation.

### Can AI make business decisions for me?

It can help organize information and prepare options. Keep the decision and any required approval with the person responsible for the outcome.
