# AI for photographers: agree the session and the final delivery

A client sends a new reference image after accepting the session brief. Later, the selection list includes more images than the agreed delivery. The photographer needs a record of those requests before promising extra work.
AI can compare the accepted session brief with later references and image selections. That leaves you with a focused client question or a checked delivery list, while creative judgement and changes to the agreement remain yours.

## Illustrative example (fictional)

The owner's request: Is this selection ready for final editing?

Information provided:
- Fictional session PH-5 includes five final images.
- The client lists six file IDs, one of which is repeated.

Example result: The list has five distinct IDs. The repeated entry should be confirmed rather than interpreted as a request for an additional image.

The next step: The photographer confirms the selection before preparing the final files.

## Clarify the accepted session brief

Record the purpose, location, participants and agreed deliverables in the client's accepted version. Link later requests to the part they change. A reference image may express a preference, but it does not by itself change the scope or establish permission to reproduce it.

## Check the image selection

Use the actual file identifiers selected by the client and compare them with the agreed delivery. Keep duplicates and unclear references visible. If a client says 'the second one', ask which file they mean rather than assigning the feedback to a different gallery version.

## Prepare the delivery record

List the agreed file formats, delivery link and usage terms from the job agreement alongside the client's final selection so delivery, receipt and extra edit requests stay distinct.

## Work you can get help with

Illustrative scenario using sample information.

When the task is complete: The photographer and client confirm the session scope.

### Check the image selection

What you provide: Gallery version, selected file IDs and agreed quantity.
The useful result: A checked selection list with duplicates or excess items flagged.
When the task is complete: The client and photographer confirm the final file selection.

### Prepare the delivery record

What you provide: Confirmed selection, agreed formats and delivery record.
The useful result: A delivery checklist and client handoff draft.
When the task is complete: The photographer verifies the delivered files and records any remaining request.

## Questions you may have

### Can a client reference image expand the scope?

Treat it as a request or preference until you have agreed what it changes.

### Can the assistant determine publication rights?

Use the actual agreement and permission records. Unclear rights need a human decision, not an inferred licence.
