# AI for beauty salons: review supplies, packages and photo permissions

The products sold at the front desk are easy to see at checkout. The masks, gloves and other supplies used during appointments can be harder to track when stock notes and delivery slips live in different places.
Areinum Assistant can help you compare the records you supply, spot differences and decide what needs attention. That might be a missing box in a delivery, an unclear package balance or a question about permission to use a photo.

## Illustrative example (fictional)

The owner's request: Compare this delivery with our order and tell me what is still missing.

Information provided:
- Fictional order B-18: 12 cleanser bottles and 8 boxes of gloves.
- Fictional receiving note: 12 cleanser bottles and 5 boxes of gloves were counted.

Example result: The cleanser line matches. Three boxes of gloves remain outstanding against order B-18.

The next step: The owner checks the shortage with the supplier and records the confirmed resolution; the comparison itself does not notify the supplier.

## Follow supplies from order to shelf

Give the assistant your starting count, dated deliveries and service withdrawals so it can calculate a balance for each back-bar item and flag mismatched units, such as six tubes versus six boxes, before you rely on the total.

When part of an order arrives, count what is in the delivery and compare it with the order. Keep outstanding quantities visible so you can check them with the supplier.

## Check the records before settling up

A package balance depends on what was purchased and which visits were actually used. The useful answer includes the original number of services, each confirmed use and any entry that appears twice. If the agreement has an expiry condition, give the team the condition to check as well.

The same care applies to commissions. Use agreed rates, the relevant period, attributed sales and documented adjustments. A disputed refund or a sale with no assigned person needs review before you approve that part of the calculation.

## Check where a client photo can be used

A good before-and-after image may be useful for your portfolio. Before using it, check whether the client's current permission covers the place you want it to appear.

If consent is missing, withdrawn or unclear for that use, leave the photo out while a person checks. The assistant can help find the question to resolve; your salon decides how to request and document permission.

## Work you can get help with

Illustrative scenario using sample information.

### Understand back-bar stock

Reconcile the materials your team uses in services with the opening balance, deliveries and dated withdrawals. Highlight entries that need a physical count.

What you provide: Material names or codes, opening quantities, unit, dated receipts and use.
The useful result: A calculated balance for each item and a list of missing or inconsistent entries.
When the task is complete: The salon confirms the balance against a physical count, or documents and corrects the discrepancy.
What still needs checking: An unknown opening balance or unit means the balance cannot be treated as confirmed.

### Compare a delivery with the order

Match the quantities your team actually received against the items and quantities ordered, then prepare a list of shortages or differences.

What you provide: Order reference, item names and units, quantities ordered and quantities counted on arrival.
The useful result: A line-by-line comparison and the quantity still outstanding for each partial line.
When the task is complete: The salon receives the outstanding items or confirms an agreed correction with the supplier.
What still needs checking: A missing order or incompatible unit needs clarification before the numbers are compared.

### Review a client's package balance

Bring together the purchased number of services and confirmed uses so the team can explain what remains at checkout.

What you provide: Package reference, total services, confirmed uses and any expiry term in the agreement.
The useful result: A balance with the uses behind it and any possible duplicate identified for review.
When the task is complete: The balance is resolved when uses and applicable terms have been checked and the salon confirms the remaining services.
What still needs checking: Unclear use or expiry terms need a person to check the agreement; do not remove a client's entitlement by assumption.

### Prepare a commission comparison

Compare attributed sales with the commission rates and adjustments your salon has agreed. Set aside entries that cannot be reconciled.

What you provide: Approved sales, staff attribution, agreed rates, returns and corrections for the period.
The useful result: A draft commission breakdown with disputed or unassigned lines identified.
When the task is complete: The owner checks any disputed sales or returns and approves the commission figures for the period.
What still needs checking: A missing rate or disputed return prevents a final figure for that line; payroll remains with your existing process.

### Check permission for a client photo

Compare a proposed portfolio or social post with recorded consent, its scope and any later withdrawal. Prepare the question the team needs to resolve.

What you provide: Photo reference, consent status and version, intended use and any applicable communication permission.
The useful result: An indication of whether the supplied record covers the proposed use or needs checking.
When the task is complete: The check ends when the salon confirms current permission for that specific use or decides not to use the image.
What still needs checking: A photo on file is not permission to publish it; unclear or withdrawn consent keeps it out of publication.

## Questions you may have

### Can I include products used during services as well as retail stock?

Yes. Provide separate item names or codes, opening balances and movements. If the same product is both sold and used, distinguish the movements in your records so an item is not counted twice.

### What if a package visit appears twice?

Keep the duplicate visible and check it against the original service record before confirming the balance. Do not assume both entries represent separate visits.

### Does a signed photo form cover every use?

That depends on the wording and current status of the form. Compare it with the particular use you have in mind, and ask the client or the person responsible for consent when the scope is unclear.

### Can I use my salon's stock records in the demo?

The demo uses sample company data. Ask about access and your intended workflow before planning to use your own records.
